My name is Victor and I'm French guy living in Prague. From the love of furniture design and craftsmanship, I started to renovate unique chairs and armchairs made in Czechoslovakia in the late 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. I search for the originals, which I then supply a new face. All pieces are in perfect condition and newly upholstered .
Most of my furniture is in the so-called "Brussels Style". The title is derived from the phenomenal success of the Czechoslovak participation at EXPO 58 in Brussels, which motivated Czechoslovak society to find a new visual style. It originated as a return to authentic creation after a decade of Stalinist socialist realism, which meant for artists and architects forced integration of the ideological subtext into work, observance of prescribed forms and strict censorship.
